Overwatch Geospatial Training Days
Overwatch Geospatial Systems will offer Feature Analyst®, LIDAR Analyst® and Urban AnalystTM software training classes in Sterling, Virginia, September 16-18, 2008. The annual Overwatch Geospatial Training Days provides a flexible and comprehensive suite of half-day software training classes on the latest advances in 2D and 3D feature extraction.

Training classes will include beginner and advanced level instruction on Feature Analyst and LIDAR Analyst workflows supporting geospatial data production. Urban Analyst classes will provide basic and advanced instruction on the use of 3D data for terrain and cultural feature data for visualization and the collection of GEOINT.

All training classes will be held at the Overwatch Geospatial offices in Sterling, Virginia. Discounts are available for users who enroll in multiple classes.





Feature Analyst is now available for ArcGIS® 9.3. This update is free for clients with current maintenance. Simply download the latest build at www.featureanalyst.com, install it, and use a current license file. Clients with outdated or expired maintenance need only contact vls_sales@overwatch.textron.com, and update maintenance to receive this important release.

ESRI User Conference Recap
The ESRI User Conference was a great success for us. Our booth provided information on several Overwatch Geospatial products--Feature Analyst, LIDAR Analyst, Urban Analyst and RemoteView. We had a great time meeting customers, running demonstrations, and answering questions at the largest and most comprehensive GIS show in the country. Our vendor meeting was held on Wednesday, and attendees had the chance to view workflows and case studies as well as preview several exciting updates to our products. On Friday, Overwatch hosted a training workshop at San Diego State University. Attendees built a 3D city model from imagery and lidar using the entire line from the Geospatial Analyst Suite. We have received some exciting reviews and feedback from those who participated. Thanks to all of those who participated. Of course, the training would not be possible without the help of the staff at San Diego State. Thank you for the donation of training space and computers.
