Overwatch would like to announce Using Feature Analyst to Automate Counts of Photographed Indiana Bats as the winner of the AFE Analyst of the Year contest. The project, written and submitted by Randy Hamilton, Dale Weigel, Andrew King, Brent Mitchell and Adrian Grell, focuses on using Feature Analyst to automate counts of the Indiana bat, a federally listed endangered species. By using a digital camera and a program such as Feature Analyst, more accurate counts of hibernating bats could be obtained with less disturbance to and stress on the bats.

Changes to the Newsletter
